Rotary PlayGarden, San Jose

Central Concrete provided concrete for the Rotary PlayGarden. As part of the Rotary Club of San Jose, the Rotary wanted to complete a project that would create a lasting legacy. After reviewing several proposals, the Club selected the Rotary PlayGarden as their centennial project. The Rotary PlayGarden is a unique regional equal access playground located on a 4.5 acre site in Guadalupe River Park in San Jose. The opening ceremony was held on February 21, 2015.

3D Underwater Model, Point Lobos State Park

Central Concrete donated its time and expertise to create a 3D model of the Point Lobos State Marine Reserve. The 800-pound concrete model showcases the unique, underwater topology, providing divers a new tool to navigate the complex Reserve, and allows non-divers a way to view the undersea world – without getting wet!

Steamboat Jenny Lind Disaster Monument, Alviso

Central Concrete donated the concrete for the Steamboat Jenny Lind Disaster Monument. Launched April 13, 2013, the Monument and Exhibit tells the tragic story of the Steamboat Jenny Lind. It departed Alviso on the morning of April 11, 1853 bearing between 100 and 130 passengers. Little did they know they were destined for the history books — one of California’s worst maritime disasters.

Camp Via West Project, Cupertino, CA

Central Concrete was proud to be able to support this community project. Camp Via West, a nonprofit camp that has served individuals with special needs and disabilities since 1945, was selected by AGC of California’s Santa Clara District as the community organization to benefit from AGC’s charitable arm members expertise.

Central Concrete received the 2012 AGC National Community Award as one of the contributors to the “Camp Via West” project.

Flight 93 Memorial, Union City, CA

Central Concrete donated the concrete for this amazing memorial. The Memorial has a “remembrance stone” that is placed in a flowing line for each individual person who lost his or her life on Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. The Memorial ends at the “Circle of Hope”.


Remember Them: Champions for Humanity, Oakland, CA

Central Concrete joined forces with Charles Pankow Builders, Ltd, a California-based building design firm, to support Remember Them: Champions for Humanity, the inspirational educational initiative sponsored by the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Foundation in Oakland, California.

Central Concrete supplied 250 yards of its Low-CO2 concrete, including 100 yards of it its ColorfastEF™ environmentally-friendly, colored concrete.
